Automatic Tool Changer The Roland MDX-50 Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) further reduces the time and cost associated with product development. From roughing to finishing, this optional accessory enables the MDX-50 to mill prototypes completely unattended. It automatically changes up to six tools of different sizes. Rotary Axis Unit With the Roland ZCL-50 optional rotary axis, the Roland MDX-50 performs unattended four-sided milling. When one side is completed, the part is automatically rotated until all sides have been milled. This saves time and lets you continue on with your design work while your prototypes are being created.
