Description
The MC4X is a CNC machine for cutting polystyrene by hot wire : a fine metal wire is crossed by an adjustable electric current, which heats it and allows to cut the foams which melt at low temperature, by moving its ends.
It is a 4-axis machine : each end of the wire is controlled in a vertical plane independently of the other end, which makes it possible to obtain trapezoidal shapes.
