Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM) is an additive manufacturing process that creates three-dimensional objects by bonding and cutting thin layers of material. Each layer is shaped according to the digital 3D model, and the process is repeated until the complete object is formed.

How LOM Works

In Laminated Object Manufacturing, sheets of material such as paper, plastic film or other thin materials are layered and bonded together. A cutting tool or laser then cuts the contours of each layer based on the digital model. By repeating the layering, bonding and cutting process, a complete 3D object is produced.
