UV Printing – High-Quality Full-Color Printing on Almost Any Solid Surface
UV printing is a versatile digital printing technology that uses ultraviolet light to cure special inks directly onto the surface of an object. Unlike conventional 3D printing, UV printing is primarily used for full-color graphics, images, text and surface finishes on a wide range of solid materials. With our Eufymake UV printer, you can create detailed and vibrant prints on both flat and three-dimensional objects.
How UV Printing Works
The UV printing process applies specially formulated ink to the material while integrated UV light immediately cures and hardens the ink. This makes it possible to print directly onto many different surfaces without requiring traditional printing plates or lengthy drying times.
- The digital design is prepared and transferred to the UV printer
- UV-curable inks are precisely applied to the surface
- Ultraviolet light instantly cures the ink
- Multiple ink layers can create colors, white ink and glossy effects
- A rotation unit can be used for printing on suitable cylindrical objects
Full-Color UV Printing with Eufymake
Our Eufymake UV printer enables high-quality full-color printing using cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white inks. A glossy finish can also be used to add visual and tactile effects. The technology is suitable for printing on a wide variety of solid materials and surfaces.
UV printing can also create raised relief effects of approximately 4–5 mm, allowing designs to become more tactile and three-dimensional. This makes the technology interesting for prototypes, product design, signage, decorative objects and creative projects.
Materials and Applications
One of the major advantages of UV printing is its versatility. Depending on the material and surface properties, the printer can be used for direct printing on many solid objects as well as selected textiles.
- Wood: Custom signs, prototypes and decorative objects
- Acrylic and plastics: Product prototypes, panels and components
- Metal surfaces: Individual markings, graphics and product personalization
- Glass and coated surfaces: Decorative and functional graphics
- Textiles: Selected fabrics and creative applications
- Objects and prototypes: Individual designs, branding and visual models
Advantages of UV Printing
- Vibrant full-color printing: Detailed graphics with CMYK and white ink
- Direct-to-object printing: Prints directly onto suitable surfaces without traditional transfer processes
- Fast curing: UV light immediately hardens the applied ink
- White ink: Enables bright prints on dark or transparent substrates
- Gloss effects: Additional glossy elements can enhance the design
- Relief printing: Raised structures of approximately 4–5 mm are possible
- Flexible applications: Suitable for prototypes, personalization, signage and creative projects
Rotary UV Printing
For suitable cylindrical objects, our Eufymake UV printer can be equipped with a rotation unit. This expands the range of possible applications and allows graphics, logos and other designs to be applied around curved surfaces.
UV Printing for Prototypes and Creative Projects
UV printing is ideal for makers, designers, startups, businesses and creative projects that require individually printed objects or prototypes. Whether you need a colorful product mock-up, a personalized object, a prototype with branding or a decorative piece, direct UV printing offers a flexible way to bring digital designs onto physical materials.
UV Printing vs. 3D Printing
UV printing should not be confused with conventional 3D printing. While 3D printers build objects layer by layer to create their physical geometry, UV printers primarily add color, graphics and surface effects to existing objects. With relief printing, however, Eufymake can also create a limited three-dimensional surface structure of approximately 4–5 mm.
