Learn the essential skills of rapid prototyping and digital fabrication through weekly hands-on orientations at Fab Lab Egypt. Our rapid prototyping workshops are designed for beginners, students, makers, entrepreneurs, designers, and anyone interested in turning ideas into physical prototypes. You do not need a technical background or prior fabrication experience — simply choose the skill you want to learn.

Digital Fabrication Skills

• 3D Printing – Learn the fundamentals of additive manufacturing and create physical prototypes from digital 3D models.
• Laser Cutting – Learn how to prepare and fabricate precise parts, models, and prototypes using laser cutting technology.
• Sticker Cutting & Heat Transfer Vinyl – Explore vinyl cutting and heat pressing for stickers, graphics, clothing, and custom designs.
• Benchtop CNC Router – Learn the basics of CNC machining for cutting, carving, and prototyping.
• Electronics Workbench Basics – Get started with essential electronics tools and techniques for prototyping and maker projects.

Hands-On Prototyping Training for Beginners

Our orientations combine practical training, machine operation, safety procedures, and basic fabrication workflows. The goal is not only to demonstrate how a machine works, but to give participants the knowledge needed to use Fab Lab equipment safely and independently for future projects.

These skills are valuable for product development, engineering prototypes, robotics, electronics, architecture, design, education, entrepreneurship, and creative projects.

Bring Your Laptop

Many digital fabrication machines require dedicated design and manufacturing software. Participants should bring their own laptop to get the full hands-on experience during the orientation. Please check the specific requirements for your selected workshop before attending.
