3D scanning is the process of capturing the shape and details of real-world objects to create digital 3D models. There are several main types of 3D scanning technologies: - Laser triangulation scanners use lasers and sensors to measure distances precisely. - Structured light scanners project patterns onto objects and calculate shape from the distortions. - Time-of-flight scanners measure the time it takes for light to bounce back from the object. - Photogrammetry uses multiple photos from different angles to reconstruct 3D geometry.
