FabLab Devon | Digital Makerspace & Workshops in Exeter Library FabLab Devon is a digital makerspace located inside Exeter Library, the first of its kind in any UK public library since opening in 2014. Visit FabLab Devon to explore digital making techniques using the latest technology including 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC routing, and more. We offer engaging workshops for adults and children, a flexible Membership program for adults, plus an outreach programme to bring digital making to the wider community. Membership Options We offer five types of membership for individuals aged 16 and over: • Adult Individual: £72 per year • Student Individual: £54 per year • Low-income Individual: £20 per year • Business (Profit Making): £150 per year for two people • Business (Charity/Non-profit): £100 per year for two people Additional people can join business memberships for £50 each if joining simultaneously. Membership includes three inductions per machine and ongoing support from our team. After completing three inductions, machine usage charges apply. Machine Usage Charges • Large Laser Cutter: £10/hour • Small Laser Cutter: £8/hour • Digital Embroidery / Vinyl Cutting: £5/hour • CNC Router: £15/hour • 3D Printing: Members £1/hour + 5p per gram PLA; Non-members £2/hour + 5p per gram PLA • Dye-Sublimation Printing: £3 per A3 sheet • A1 Printing: Colour £9, Black & White £4.50 (other sizes available) Making Service Prefer to have your project made without joining? Use our making service by emailing your project details and design files for a quote. Machine charges for this service are 50% higher than member rates. Taster Sessions & Gift Vouchers Try a one-hour Taster Session in laser cutting or 3D design/printing for £15, including a small custom design made for you. Group sessions are available on request.
