The Association pursues aims of promoting Digital Manufacturing and Shared Design, of Hardware and Free Software, of Sustainable Development, for the benefit of the members. In order to achieve its goals, the Association: a) promotes and enhances the various activities proposed by the Members, consistent with the Association's philosophy; b) advocates and disseminates the use of digital prototyping and open design media; c) globally shares the projects implemented at local level, through the network and the site of the Association and, vice versa, proposes and promotes projects realized elsewhere and at the local level shared through the same methods; d) offers a place for exchange and creativity; e) promotes applied scientific research on various levels.
